The Shark Cage Diving Gansbaai trip is approximately 4 hours and is available 365 days a year. Trip includes:
- A small continental breakfast served during orientation.
- Snacks and refreshments served on the boat.
- Wet suits, safety and diving equipment.
- Skipper, qualified paramedic, dive master and crew.
- Lunch is served at the end of the trip.
- OPTIONAL: Private transfer via car, helicopter or gyrocopter is available for an additional fee.
When is the best time to go Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai?

My Partner does not want to go inside the cage. Can they still come along?
Yes. Topside viewing is just as exciting and dramatic. This is a wildlife trip and the sharks are very visible from the surface.

After you have booked your Shark Cage Diving Gansbaai Trip with us, Shark Cage Diving.us will send confirmation of your booking and supply details of your booking, including directions and times etc for your trip.
We can arrange to collect your from your Hotel, B&B or backpacker at a time arranged to ensure you arrive 45 min before the trip departs, should you require a transfer. The boat unfortunately cannot wait for anyone. A transfer price will be determined based on the distance you are travelling from.
When should you arrive for your trip
You should arrive 45 min prior to your Shark Cage Diving Gansbaai Trip. The boat won’t wait if you don’t arrive on the scheduled time.

Warm, waterproof jacket
I would advise you to take sea sickness tablets for precaution 30 min prior to departure on the boat, as you don’t want to ruin your Predation Trip.
You can purchase a video of your trip after, so bring some extra cash along. This is optional.
Is diving experience required?
No diving experience is needed. Shark Cage Diving is for Divers and Non Divers. A qualified paramedic, Dive Master, Skipper and support crew will accompany you on your Shark Cage Diving Trip.
When Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai, you do not have to climb inside the cage if you feel uncomfortable doing so. The view on the boat of the Great White Sharks is generally better, due to the visibility of the sea water being poor sometimes.
